CTET- Central Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. CTET is conducted at the national level. All CTET Whatsapp group links are collected for you here.

CTET is conducted to bring the national standards and benchmarks for a person to be in the recruitment process. The exam is conducted in Paper 1 and paper 2. CTET is conducted in English and Hindi. CTET certificate is valid for seven years.

Paper 1

Candidates who are willing to become a teacher for class 1 to 5 have to attempt paper 1.

Aspirants have done Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the last year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration)

Aspirants have done Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam securing minimum 45% marks and have passed or appearing in last year’s exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration), as per the NCTE Regulations 2002.

Aspirants who did Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with minimum 50% marks and have passed or appeared in last year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years duration).

Aspirants done Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with minimum 50% marks and have passed or appearing in last year’s exam of Diploma in Education (2 years duration).

Paper2

Aspirants done a Graduation degree and have passed or are appearing in last year’s examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration).

Aspirants did his/her Graduation degree with 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year exam of Bachelor in Education.

Aspirants did his/her Graduation degree with 40% marks and has passed or appearing in last year’s exam of Bachelor in Education, as per the NCTE regulations.

Aspirants who did Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with minimum 50% marks and have cleared or appeared in final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education.

Aspirants did Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year exam of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.

Aspirants did a Graduation degree with 50% marks and have passed or appearing in the B.Ed program of 1-year duration.

Application Fee

Aspirants applying for exam Paper 1 or Paper 2 and belong to general and OBC has to pay 700 and aspirants to belong to SC/ ST PWD have to pay 350.

Aspirants applying for both paper 1 and 2 from the general and OBC category has to pay 1200. Aspirants belonging to SC/ST/PWD have to pay 600

Exam pattern: paper 1 and paper 2

CTET exam is conducted offline that is a pen and paper-based exam.

The duration of the exam is 150 minutes.

No of questions will be 150, each question carries 1 mark.

The exam will be conducted for 150 marks.

There are no negative markings.

The medium of examination is Hindi and English.

TET 2021 Exam Day Instructions

Instructions for aspirants before the examination are listed below. Candidates must carefully go through them before sitting for CTET 2021:

The test will start exactly at the time mentioned on the CTET Admit Card.
The candidate will be asked to open the seal of the Test Booklet five minutes before the commencement of the paper.
Check carefully that the Test Booklet Code printed on Side 2 of OMR Sheet is the same as printed on Test Booklet.
Immediately report the matter to the invigilator for replacement of both the Test Booklet and OMR Sheet in the case of any discrepancy.
The invigilator will be checking the admit card to verify the identity of a candidate.
Candidates must use a ballpoint pen (Blue/Black) only. The use of pencil is strictly prohibited and will be rejected.
Aspirants should mark the answers on the OMR sheet only after the announcement of the invigilator.

CTET Cut Off

Cut off is the minimum marks required to clear the exam and receive CTET Mark Statement. Aspirants whoever scores more than 60% will receive an Eligibility Certificate. CTET Cut off is declared after the declaration of results. The following table below states the expected cut off for CTET 2021:
